The Open University hosts night of poetry and prose

The Open University (OU) is running an evening of poetry and prose as part of Culture Night 2015 on the Friday 18th September between 6-8pm, at The Winding Stair on Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin.

Renowned Irish poets and OU tutors, Nessa O’Mahony and Siobhan Campbell, will host readings by some of the University’s best Creative Writing students in addition to treating the audience to readings from their very own published works.

John D’Arcy, National Director of The Open University here, said: “For three years running The Open University has been involved in Culture Night and its success has grown year on year.

“I encourage people to come along and be inspired by our students and by Nessa and Siobhan. It will be a fantastic, cultural evening and I have no doubt it will stimulate those that wish to develop their own love of writing. “

Attendees will also get a chance to share some of their own work by getting involved in the open mic sessions.

This is a free event at The Winding Stair, 38 Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1, on Friday 18th September. The public are encouraged to just drop in at any time between 6pm-8pm.
