New City Centre venue to host first outdoor music festival

This May bank holiday is set to change for music lovers across Northern Ireland with the announcement of the first ever city centre outdoor music festival which will take place in Filthy Square, a unique location off Belfast’s Dublin Road. All genres of music will feature at the festival with international acts including Katy B, Wretch 32 and 2MANYDJS playing over 20 hours of live music right in the heart of the city.

In association with MOTH, ‘The Filthy Series’ – Chapter One, will take place from 2-3 May 2015 with acts including Jungle (DJ Set), Reeps One, Too Many T's, Hercules & Love Affair, Rayko, Skymas all joining the line-up.

Speaking about the festival Sabrina Egerton said “We are looking forward to showcasing this brand new unique venue over the bank holiday weekend with the first all day festival in the centre of Belfast. We have developed a huge outdoor space just off Ventry street that will set the scene for renowned singer, songwriter Katy B and over the two days festival will play host to some of the world’s first class DJ’s and artists.

“Some of the acts will be showcasing new sets for the first time including Hercules & Love Affair who have worked with film maker David Wiliamson to create a whole new visual element to their live performance that will be debuted at the festival. The event is set to kick start the summer and we are looking forward to an epic weekend of live music.”
