The Open University is inviting visitors to its Dublin office in Holles Street off Merrion Square this Saturday, March 21 – to showcase the courses on offer.

As part of the open day, a creative writing workshop will be hosted by published poet Nessa O’Mahony while there is also an opportunity to attend an MBA information and taster session with the University’s MBA programme, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The taster session will include an overview of the MBA programme, a close-up look at the course contents for year one and is followed by an interactive workshop on how models can help us to understand situations we face as managers.

While visitors are encouraged to just drop in, places on the workshops are limited and must be booked in advance.

John D’arcy, director for the Open University in Ireland, said: “This presents an excellent opportunity for people to come and talk to us about the courses on offer here at the Open University in Dublin.

“Whether people are looking for a change of career, want to enhance their learning or are just interested in seeing what we do, we will be delighted to welcome them regardless of age or educational background.

“We believe we offer flexibility that cannot be matched elsewhere to meet individuals’ business or personal development.”

The open day will run from 10:30 to 13:30 with the creative writing workshop starting at 10:30 for an hour and the MBA information and taster session running for two hours from 11:30.

A place on either workshop can be booked by emailing ireland-events@open.ac.uk or by calling Dublin 01 678 53 99.
