Electric Ireland Wins Contract with Smyths Toys Superstores

Electric Ireland announced today that it has been chosen by Smyths Toys Superstores to supply electricity to 28 of its stores throughout the island of Ireland. The 12-month contract is worth in excess of £700,000 (€1 million) and is supplying enough power to supply over 1,600 homes.

As part of the new contract, Electric Ireland will supply electricity to the company’s 6 stores in Northern Ireland and 22 stores in ROI and will help the toy seller to make efficiencies across the business by providing an energy efficiency audit to help drive cost-savings in the months to come.

Announcing the contract today, Electric Ireland’s Customer Relationship Manager Vincent Litchfield said: “We are pleased to have been chosen by Smyths Toys Superstores to partner with them across the island of Ireland. The retail sector is an important area for Electric Ireland and with 2015 expected to be another busy year for this sector, we are happy to be part of powering this growth.”
