Students from the Royal Belfast Academical Institution beat off stiff competition from Campbell College as they went head to head at the Northern Ireland Schools’ Debating Competition in a bid to get through to the quarter finals which take place in March.
The quarter finals which are being supported by Translink through its yLink campaign are encouraging young people to recognise the benefits of public transport. Royal Belfast Academical Institution is one of eight schools to get through to the quarter finals which takes place on 3rd - 4th March 2015 and will be debating the motion “This House believes that public transport is the future, the automobile is the past."
Translink’s yLink card is a smartcard available to all young people aged 16 to 23 years and offers a third off travel on bus and rail services in Northern Ireland, up to 50% off cross border Enterprise fares and discounts on cross border coach services.
