INCREASE of 87% OF FIRST TIME BUYERS AT PROGRESSIVE BUILDING SOCIETY.
Progressive Building Society, the largest locally owned financial institution in Northern Ireland, today endorsed the Council of Mortgage Lenders survey when it revealed its own first half figures for 2014. There has been an 87% increase in approvals for first time buyers in the first half of 2014 compared to the first half of 2013.
Darina Armstrong, Chief Executive, Progressive Building Society said,” we are very committed to supporting first time buyers as they embark on the property ladder, especially in light of the new rules introduced by the Mortgage Market Review in April. It can be quite daunting applying for your first mortgage and I believe that our business model of having trained personnel in all our branches throughout Northern Ireland has helped many. Our customers tell us that it is so much easier to sit down and talk everything through face to face, rather than deal with a call center.
