A new Belfast based bar has officially opened its doors giving a significant boost to the hospitality industry with the creation of 100 new jobs and helping to rejuvenate the City’s Linen Quarter.  The £1m investment is a major redevelopment for the area and for the entertainment industry.

The official opening of the new Asian influenced bar Shiro, meaning ‘white’ in Japanese, was supported by Diageo Northern Ireland. Commenting at the launch, Roseann Spence, Diageo Northern Ireland said, “This is a major investment for the heart of City and will only add to the vibrant hospitality sector that already exists here.

“Belfast is a hub for night-time socialising and increasingly attracts visitors from both home and abroad with a host of top class venues.  Shiro is the perfect venue to showcase both the city’s exceptional offering and Diageo’s premium brands including Ketel One and Johnnie Walker.”
