Andrew Burke, Market Modelling & Analyst at ESB (pictured right) was guest speaker at the Northern Ireland branch of the Energy Institute’s seminar ‘Gas for Ireland - a fuel to meet climate change targets.’ He is pictured with Electric Ireland’s Clare McAllister, Honorary Secretary and Sam Knox, Chairman of the Northern Ireland branch of the Energy Institute.The seminar, held as part of EU Sustainable Energy Week, discussed the UN Climate Change Report - released in February – which highlighted that the transformation required for a world of clean energy is eminently affordable and that the cheapest way to deal with global warming is to abandon all dirty fossil fuels in coming decades.
