A leading Northern Ireland IT company which has achieved 30% growth gaining new market share across Ireland and the UK has re-launched under a new brand to reflect the growth, opportunity and optimism within the technology industry, according to Paul Trouton, Chief Executive of the Craigavon based business, Fuel.
Formerly MCS, a company which has been successful in the local marketplace for over 20 years, Fuel was launched to better reflect the company’s market strategy which has seen it gaining 65 new clients in 2013 and to ensure it secured a new brand identity which would continue to compete for new business in the evolving & fluid IT industry for many years to come.
The company which is Northern Ireland’s only Sage 200 online and AVG Gold partner recently announced the creation of five new specialist IT jobs and now employs 15 people within the business. Fuel’s increase in local market share is aligned to key sectors within the Northern Ireland economy which have been earmarked for growth including agri-food, engineering & manufacturing as well as email marketing and e-commerce strategies targeted at Northern Ireland’s leading SMEs. However according to Paul Trouton this was all part of a business development strategy, developed and implemented during the downturn.
Commenting on the company’s growth and re-launch, Paul Trouton said, “Five years ago when many companies were consolidating, we developed a strategy which targeted, supported and enhanced our knowledge and expertise in industries that had the potential to grow in the longer term and make a telling contribution within the Northern Ireland economy. We developed relationships and created tailored IT solutions to support the specific needs of companies such as McKenna Precision Engineering, leading UK and Ireland supplier of engineering equipment and Errigal Seafood which exports from its Donegal and Dublin bases to global markets.
“Another key area that we have developed is in providing custom built PCs and Servers for both home and business markets. This is an area of the IT industry that will continue to grow bringing more powerful PCs to high end customers within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
“The decision to rebrand after 21 years was borne out the growth in these sectors and others, and in the passion of all our staff to provide a dynamic and knowledge based approach to serving our customers, still maintaining our traditional values and commitments in the process. The new logo, website and brand name enable us to strengthen and modernise how we represent ourselves locally and offer us a great platform to further expand into new markets within the Republic of Ireland and Scotland.”
