17.10.13: Progressive Building Society, Northern Ireland’s largest locally-owned financial institution, today announced the launch of two new advertising campaigns that accentuate the brand’s local and family friendly personality.

The campaigns start on Channel 4 and UTV this week and extend across both advertising and Progressive’s longstanding sponsorship of UTV weather.

The advertising element of the campaign, called ‘Now That’s Progressive’, will feature key messages from the Building Society’s core offering of mortgages and savings and will air on UTV and Channel 4.

The second part of the campaign will see Progressive’s sponsorship of UTV Weather given a modern makeover that celebrates family life through the special moments between parents and children.

Speaking ahead of the launch of the new TV campaigns, Darina Armstrong, Chief Executive of Progressive Building Society said: “Our new UTV Weather campaign captures the emotion of a young family’s life through significant events like learning how to ride a bicycle with dad and baking a cake at home with mum. We believe it’s something that everyone can relate to and feel it works very well in tandem with our new TV advertising campaign to raise awareness of our mortgages and savings.

“The aim of the campaigns is to highlight the importance of the home in everyday life and underline Progressive Building Society’s role in helping Northern Ireland’s house buyers make the step up to their next family home.”

The campaigns were created by Belfast-based Archer Advertising. The agency’s Managing Director Tony McIlwrath added: “Progressive Building Society has continued to play a key role in helping house buyers in Northern Ireland purchase their dream home for decades and we wanted the TV campaigns to reflect the importance of the Society in every day family life.”
