The first company to win two Big Tick Awards, Diageo Northern Ireland was rewarded for demonstrating responsible leadership through its ‘Health and Wellbeing Programme’ and the ‘Manufacturing Excellence Capability Programme’ which was rolled out across the company’s supply sites.

According to Michael McCann, Country Director Diageo Northern Ireland, the company’s commitment to corporate responsibility and supporting local communities is inherent to its business, “We are delighted to receive these prestigious awards and we would like to thank and congratulate all of our employees on this incredible achievement, in particular our two HR business partners Lynn Graham and Deborah McLean. At Diageo we understand that our leadership as a company is measured by more than just financial success and we know that being a good corporate citizen is vital to the long term success of our business.

“Diageo’s investment in local communities comes through employee volunteering, charitable fundraising and providing resources and experience to help community organisations meet their objectives. We are dedicated to improving employee health and well-being through our workplace health scheme and we are very proud to be recognised for our efforts in striving to ensure that our employees are empowered to remain healthy and motivated.
