BT MAKES A GOOD CALL... on Chat for Change Day

Miranda Hart encourages people in Northern Ireland to make a call today and raise money for Red Nose Day

Miranda Hart has embarked on a week shrouded in secrecy to complete a madcap challenge every day as part of the BT Red Nose Challenge: Miranda’s Mad March.  Now, Miranda is encouraging  everyone to play their part for Comic Relief and BT is making it incredibly easy for you. Simply pick up the phone and ‘Chat for Change’.

To mark ‘Chat for Change’ Day, BT will donate 1p to Comic Relief for every call made on 14 March from a BT home phone line, BT business line or through BT’s new free SmartTalk app. Using BT SmartTalk, BT customers can take advantage of the inclusive calls in their BT home calling plan using their smartphone, anywhere in the world, using any wi-fi or mobile data connection*.

Or why not call the BT Speaking Clock? BT Sport presenter Clare Balding became the voice of the BT Speaking Clock for five weeks to raise money for Comic Relief. BT is donating 10p for every call made to the speaking clock from a BT landline until Red Nose Day on 15 March**. All you have to do is dial 123 from a BT landline.

Miranda Hart says: “This week has been tougher than I ever expected! Each day I’ve raced against the clock to do something I never thought I’d do, all to raise heaps of cash for Red Nose Day. Every penny I and everyone in the UK raise really will help people living unimaginably tough lives on your doorstep in the UK and across Africa. Chat for Change day is a really simple way for people to get involved and do their bit, so just pick up the phone today and BT will do the rest”.

BT and Comic Relief have a unique history, working together for over twenty years to raise money and change lives. Since 2009, BT has been the sponsor of Comic Relief’s challenges and Comic Relief 2013 will be no exception with the BT Red Nose Challenges. Hell and High Water saw a team of six brave celebrities tackle over 100 deadly kilometres of the mighty Zambezi river.

So come on, make a good call today and Chat for Change.
