Rugby royalty will descend on The Bot this weekend when International superstars Stephen Ferris and Andrew Trimble join Ulster coach Mark Anscombe and Lions legend David Irwin to meet fans at the latest Guinness rugby supporters’ event.
The exclusive event, which takes place from 6pm on Saturday 16th February, offers fans a rare chance to meet their Ulster Rugby heroes, hear their views on Ireland’s 2013 Six Nations campaign and Ulster’s upcoming fixtures, including the game against Saracens on April 6th. Fans will also be able to ask their own questions during a special Q&A with the players. Tickets for the event, hosted by radio DJs Pete Snodden and Nigel Ringland from Cool FM, are free and available online now at coolfm.co.uk or in-person at The Bot.
Speaking ahead of the event, Gerry Webb from The Bot said: “We’re really looking forward to having the rugby legends visit The Bot on Saturday night and hope all of our customers get in quick to secure their tickets for this fantastic event.
“It’ll be great to hear what the lads think of Ireland’s performances so far in the Six Nations and how they think we’re shaping up for the next game against Scotland.”
James McKervey from Diageo said: “Irish rugby is at heartbeat of the Guinness brand and we’re delighted to be able to invite fans to share in the excitement of the big game by meeting their heroes.
“After starting well in the Championship, Ireland slipped up against England and I hope the fans are looking forward to hearing how the stars think we’ll respond against the Scots.”
The event kicks off at The Bot 7pm on Saturday night, with doors opening at 6pm. The Malone Road pub was recently named as the best pub in Northern Ireland to watch rugby after coming top of a poll by leading sports website theScore.ie.
