McLean’s staff, including members Patricia McKeown, Cathy McMurtry, Megan McKeown and Kerry McKeown from Carrickfergus have raised £3,355 for Cancer Research UK through participating in the Belfast Race for Life and additional fundraising activities.
In keeping with their bookmaking skills a sweepstake was organized to determine the time the first staff member would finish the race. There have also been ballots held in many of the local betting firms’ 61 branches, with proceeds going to charity. The funds have now been collated, amounting to a total donation of £3,355 for Cancer Research UK.
Megan McKeown, McLean’s Marketing Manager commented; “This was a great initiative for our staff as it boosted morale and team building while raising much-needed funds for a great cause. I’d like to thank all our customers who supported our fund-raising activities.”
