Bus passengers throughout Belfast are set to benefit from the return of the special Metro Smart Saturdays £2 day ticket which offers unlimited Saturday journeys across all Metro services after 9.30am* throughout May and June. 

Carol Marsden, Metro Brand Manager said, “We are delighted to welcome back our great value Metro Smart Saturday fare as part of our Love Metro Saturdays campaign, following the success of last year’s promotion, and we want to help passengers save money on fuel, parking and time by travelling hassle-free throughout May and June.  Metro passengers will be able to relax on our Metro deckchairs within the grounds of City Hall and at Cornmarket and can also get their hands on a free Metro bag for life upon production of a valid Metro ticket.”

To celebrate the return of Metro Smart Saturdays there will be activity taking place in Belfast City Centre on selected Saturdays in May and June.  Metro passengers will be able to benefit from free family entertainment including:

• Saturday 5th May, Festival of Fools at Cornmarket, Belfasto Relax on a Metro deckchair and enjoy a free street arts festival, full of acrobatics, stunts and much more.• Saturday 12th May, Teddy Bears Picnic at Belfast City Hallo Free family event which includes storytelling courtesy of Libraries NI, children’s goodie bags and complimentary face painting sessions.• Saturday 19th May, Complimentary ice-cream, Belfast city centreo Dale Farm will provide complimentary ice-cream for Metro passengers at Metro bus stops in and around Belfast City Hall, including Donegall Sq East and Upper Queen Street• Saturday 26th May, MT4 Youth Demonstration at Belfast City Hallo The grounds of Belfast City Hall will provide the venue for the stunning moves of this children’s dance troupe.• Saturday 9th June, Complimentary ice-cream, Belfast city centreo Dale Farm will again provide complimentary ice-cream for Metro passengers throughout Belfast city centre• Saturday 16th June, Face painting at Belfast City Hallo Belfast city centre will be awash with colourful faces thanks to complimentary face painting and glitter tattoos• Saturday 30th June, Make-up Demonstrations at Belfast City Hallo Calling all fashionistas!
