CBI NI has welcomed Electric Ireland’s launch of a new energy efficiency application called ‘Office Energy Expert’ to assist Northern Ireland businesses in maximising energy efficiency.
The Office Energy Expert is the first virtual online efficiency application to be provided by an energy supplier and adds to Electric Ireland’s range of products and services aimed at helping companies operate more efficiently, according to Business Markets Manager Susan Kinane:
“In the current economic climate companies must continue to identify ways of driving out costs in order to maintain a sustainable business. Taking control of your energy consumption can be a significant contributor in reducing a business’s cost base. This new online application provides simple steps to identify opportunities to reduce costs. By adopting a managed approach to eliminate waste of electricity businesses can reduce electricity costs and consumption by up to 20%.”
Kirsty McManus, Assistant Regional Director at CBI Northern Ireland welcomed the new application which will which assist Northern Ireland businesses in improving efficiency:“The Office Energy Expert is a welcome tool for business as resource efficiency makes business sense and will continue to gain traction as the stewardship of resource becomes more critical to business.”
The application provides a virtual, practical demonstration of how energy can be saved in each area within an office building and can be viewed for free online at http://www.electricireland.ie/office.
“Office Energy Expert adds to our Energy Consulting Services which empower customers to maximize the efficiency of their energy usage, for instance through energy audits or energy monitoring systems. By offering such a comprehensive support package we assist businesses in reducing costs and operating to their full potential,” concluded Susan.
